Shane Lavalette has been comissioned to create a new body of work for the High Museum of Art’s “Picturing the South” series, which includes past artists Sally Mann, Emmet Gowin, Richard Misrach, Dawoud Bey, Alex Webb and Alec Soth. In 2012, an exhibition of new photographs by Shane Lavalette, Martin Parr and Kael Alford will open at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, GA.
