Today in class, Jim Dow brought in an excellent book of photographs that he recently acquired over the weekend on his trip to L.A.

Where We Live: Photographs of America from the Berman Collection is the title of the exhibition that runs from October 24 through February 25 at The Getty Center. Since I can’t possibly make it out to Los Angeles to see the show, I was happy enough to be able to look at the book and was very pleased with the selection — Bruce and Nancy Berman’s collection.

Jim’s work was alongside Mitch Epstein, William Eggleston, John Divola, William Christenberry, Doug Dubois, and many more. “170 color illustrations” in total.
