Since working with so much commercial photography, we control everthing, it's hyper sensitive. Everything that we look at in magazines and advertising is hyper controled. So what do we do in situations like above? Do we take control over minimal items to make the photo more user friendly? Or do we act as pure documentarians? something that always hits me when looking at photos.

That should be nice because I had talked to one of the lighting guys and he said he would work with me on getting everything 'just right'. This was just the entrance to the building and, as much as I would have liked to have control over certain things (the light on the right), I really couldn't have had the authority myself to get the room lit the way I might have wanted -- not to mention people walking in/out of the frame. Anyway, I ended up liking the shot as is. I agree about the crop, though. Peila, I may be going back to shoot Sanders Theatre, which is in Memorial Hall.
