The lovely Amy Stein has tagged me in a ‘chain letter’ of sorts. Don’t worry, Amy, I don’t hate you for this. I had noticed the chain making its way around the blogs and secretly hoped it wouldn’t make its way to me — but, alas, I was found. So, here are five things you may or may not know about Shane Lavalette:
1. He recieved his first camera and film at age five. He quickly pointed out to his mother that the film was the wrong ASA for the camera, that Santa had made a mistake.
2. He is currently nineteen years old (and generally does not write in the third person).
3. In 1997, he knocked out his front teeth when he lost his balance at a roller skating rink named Skateland. He misses that place — the mix of 80′s music that would play in rotation and the disgustingly delicious microwave pizza.
4. He has a fear of dirty dishes.
5. He had to fight tears today while standing in front of this photograph by Mitch Epstein. What a sap!

and you know i found a box of like 20 of Michael B√ºhler-Rose’s 30×40 prints this summer, and camille has some of them.. and the others are.. well, lets say, safe.

Trevor, I was wondering what ever happened to those. I left them for someone to put a few more of prints that they were printing for me for a show, when i left boston. It seems they were moved or assumed up for grabs, but I am glad they found a good home, well that is unless “safe” is a trash can.! I think I miss the box more than the prints. BTW if you ever see camille tell her I am try to get in touch with her!
