Photo March Madness, 2007
© Chad Muthard
Yesterday, Chad Muthard took a moment to share with me this wonderful fifteen-minute-turned-four-hour creation that has been circling around the photo blogging commmunity ever since. What Chad designed was a bracket system where photographers are essentailly competing towards a final four, a playoff, and in the end — a winner. Download the PDF, print it out, and let me know what you come up with.
The truth is, I’ve barely been able to make it to a final four with this. It’s too hard, Chad! Can’t all great photographers be winners?
Along a similar line, Christian Patterson has suggested the creation of a Photography Family Tree. I love what he has to say about it:
While not purporting to be a comprehensive historic documentation of the development of photography, it certainly provides hours of entertainment, and can be used as a quick reference and to settle arguments.
UPDATE: Check out Brian Ulrich’s visual representation of Photo March Madness.
