The last time I mentioned Stephen Shore, I was groaning about always missing his lectures and having to resort to magazine and audio interviews to get a sense of him as a human being. Fortunately, I’ll finally be able to see him talk as tomorrow (on my birthday!) Mr. Shore will be discussing his work along with his newly released book The Nature of Photographs. The lecture is hosted by the PRC.

  1. Kurt says:

not to nitpick but The Nature of Photographs is not actually a new book, merely a (long overdue) re-issue of the 1998 original….anyway, more to the point, lucky you!

  2. Bryan S says:

Can you link me to some of those audio interviews? Btw, speaking of desktop pictures, Shore’s Yosemite national park photo has been mine for months now.

  3. Shane Lavalette says:

Kurt, I suppose I had meant to say “newly released” — all fixed.

Bryan, I linked to the interviews and a short film clip here. Enjoy!

  4. Justin says:

    Happy B-day Shane!
