Sheron Rupp, Rhea Garen and Jack D. Teemer Jr.

It’s hard to find work online by photographer Sheron Rupp. Fortunately, though, I’ve been able to open my copy of Where We Live and sit with the above image every time I get the urge.

This photograph is one of her best.

Two other lesser known photographers from the book (that are also hard to find online) are Rhea Garen and Jack D. Teemer Jr. If anyone has taken the time to scan any of these photographer’s images from the book or has come across a decent amount of their work already online that I may have overlooked, do let me know.

    Hi,

My wife is Jack D. Teemer, Jr.’s daughter. He passed away years ago and we have many, many of his prints in boxes in the basement. We also have albums and albums of negatives. We’re thinking of scanning some photos – if there is any interest – and posting them online. We just want to let others enjoy his wonderful photography.

I just discovered Jack Teemer’s amazing photography yesterday while looking through Where I Live. While I was familiar with most all of the other photographers in the book, it astounds me that I had never known of him.
Can Andrew Knight please contact me. Thanks.

It really is a small world as I too just discovered Jack Teemer’s photography in Where We Live.

I’m very interested in seeing more of his work either online or in book form.

    Thanks.

It makes me so happy that people are interested in seeing Jack’s work. We are coming up on the 16th anniversary of his death on November 1st of this year (2008), and his work continues to touch people in so many ways.

Joseph Bellows Gallery, located in La Jolla, CA is representing Jack’s work officially, so it would be best to contact him. He has a website.

Thank you all for your interest in Jack’s work.

    Kind Regards,

    Joan Teemer
