Last night, after finishing up helping with the installation of the A New American Portrait show, I went to the Blindspot / J&L party with Michael Duong where I ran into Grant Willing, Alana Celii, and Grady O’Connor outside.

Inside I spotted the lovely Amy Elkins (Wan.der.lust.ag.ra.phy) with her friends Summer Kemick and Nicola Kast. We met up with Richard Renaldi, Seth Boyd, and Marc Yankus. After we talked a bit and finisihed our glasses of free Dewar’s scotch, Marc initiated a mass exodus to grab some dinner and the whole crew followed Richard’s suggestion of Chinese. And it was a feast. Delicious string beans and General Tso’s tofu along with the company of great photographers, though more importantly kind people, made for a wonderful evening.

The past few days feel as if they’ve all moved this way, one event into another — which reminds me, again, how much I love New York.
