Prior to coming across Ed Panar’s new website, I had only seen images from Golden Palms (mostly while looking at the book put out by Jason Fulford’s independent publishing company, J&L Books).

What I had associated Ed with were these colorful and fluid snapshots. While I love many of those images, I was very happy to find a few other bodies of work on his website where he breaks out of this mold. And, actually, it was to my delight that I discovered him weaving the snaps in with some of these more considered photographs. Such is the case in his project Johnstown.
