Eggleston’s Notebook

One of the best parts about William Eggleston’s website is the archive. There, you can find, among other things, “a glimpse into one of Eggleston’s notebooks, containing notes on printing, experiments with video technology, and numerous abstract drawings.”

More good stuff (like the video footage of Eggleston playing organ) can be found here.

I’m curious about what he’s doing with color in his drawings…

  3. Saad says:

It’s like he was on the phone and the conversation was way long and there were some pens nearby. So, he picked up the pens with his genius hand (the one not holding the phone) and managed to draw a color symphony that perfectly conveys the struggle of telephone duality and the mild pleasure of unconscious repetition.
