The only thing I find somewhat sad is that most of these mags don’t pay properly or at all. It’s good that good work gets printed of course but I wish the benefits to the photographers were a bit more direct.

Agreed. Even the New York Times mag has a low day rate for assignments. Editorial strike!

Editorial strikes wouldn’t happen. However I really REALLY like the photograph of Spencer Krug from Sunset Rubdown and Wolf Parade. From the times I have spoken with him and seeing him perform this photograph creates the exact feeling he emanates to the crowd.
