Gimme Some Photoblog Love!
Monday, October 8, 2007I received a number of e-mails from readers referring me to a $10,000 blogging scholarship awarded to college students who blog. I was very curious seeing as I have been blogging since high school and recently, upon arriving to college, began this blog as a more “serious” endeavor. I submitted my application shortly before the deadline, expecting it to be another passing idea, but this morning I got the news.
I’ve been selected as one of 20 finalists!
But, here’s where I need your help! The winner is chosen based on the number of votes received. Since my blog is often centered around a very specific topic (fine art photography), I’d imagine I may not have the largest readership of the 20 finalists. However, if you read this blog regularly or have enjoyed it at any point in time please take a moment to cast a vote for me and then pass the word on to anyone who may be willing to cast theirs too. Every vote counts and it only takes a second.
It’s really up to you guys! Public voting starts this morning, and will end Midnight PST on October 28th.
P.S. New York / Boston blogging friends should expect to be taken out to dinner if I win! Oh, and feel free to share this info on your own blogs if you have it in you. As I said, every vote counts. Thanks for support, it means a lot!

Im in as well, good luck Shane. I think all of the 20 Bloggers should agree to split the pot, anyone who opens their thoughts to the rest of us on a daily basis deserves a high-five from the rest of us. I guess 19 Bolggers would agree with me on this.

Beautiful blog you have here Shane. Just dropping by to share words of encouragement. Blogging isn’t suppose to be a competition, it’s simply an outlet for your intellectual and creative expression. Just being on the top 20 list is a pretty neat honor already :)
