Last week I went to see Sigur Rós play here in Boston. Though the concert was not as intimate or overwhelmingly beautiful as the first time that I saw them play a few years ago, I was reminded of how great of a band they really are. Here’s a video of a live performance of one of my favorite songs of theirs, “Svefn-g-englar” (which translates from Icelandic to “sleepwalkers” or “sleep angels”). Turn up your speakers nice and loud, make it full screen and wait for around 7:30… gives me chills!
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

I was there too. I had not seen them prior to this but my friends said that it was not as intimate as other times they had seen them either. Also the string section didn’t play with them which was strange. A girl I go to school with saw them in a coffee shop in Stockholm randomly one night 5 years ago. She said it was incredible.

Hey, Shane. Yeah, I really enjoyed seeing them with the strings. And if you ever get the chance, I definitely recommend seeing them in more intimate setting. That coffee shop show sounds awesome.
