Lucas Foglia: Rewilding

Homeschooling, Tennessee, 2008 [from "Rewilding"]

Lucas Foglia is currently in his first year of the MFA program at Yale. Not long ago, I came across Lucas’ project Rewilding. By definition, rewilding is the process of creating a lifestyle that is independent of the domestication of civilization. Through photographs, Lucas intimately examines the lives of individuals who have chosen to leave mainstream society and adopt a “wilderness” or “homesteading” lifestyle. Very interesting body of work.

Interesting project and subject. As a document of their lifestyle the photos are adequate. I find the subjects more interesting that most of the photos. Keep working on it. Randy
