A Few Self and Independently Published Photography Books
Saturday, June 20, 2009Over the last few months I’ve received a number of fantastic self and independently published photography books in the mail. These books are approachable, affordable and, in most cases, beautifully designed. Many of them actually look and feel more like an ‘artist book’ than a standard mass-produced monograph. Very refreshing.
I wish I could highlight every single book that photographers and publishers have been kind enough to send me, but the task would easily eat up my whole day. So, here are a few that have made their way onto my shelf (cheers to self and independent publishers!):

Can’t we see a picture or two from inside the books?

Hi Stephen. If you click the titles of the books, they are all links that will take you to the publisher’s/artist’s websites where you should both be able to order the book and see a preview of what’s on the inside.

Hey Shane, I noticed that u don’t have LayFlat on a shelf in San Francisco-
http://www.needles-pens.com/ – If your interested in getting shelf life in SF this place may be interested – they sell self published books, zines and all sorts of other creative things-Layflat would fit right in!
