New Website, New Work (In-Progress)

Spit in the Swamp, Louisiana, 2010

I’m very pleased to have finally launched a new website!

The site includes a very small preview of some new work in-progress, a commission for the High Museum of Art‘s “Picturing the South” series, of which I’m absolutely honored to be involved in. Past commissioned artists include Emmet Gowin, Sally Mann, Richard Misrach, Dawoud Bey, Alex Webb and Alec Soth. An exhibition will be on view at the museum in 2012 with newly commissioned works by myself, Martin Parr and Kael Alford.

In addition to the design update, the new site now seamlessly integrates the / Journal – something I’ve been meaning to do for a long, long time.

If you have a moment, take a look around and feel free leave a comment on this post with your thoughts.

BOOKSHELF: “Seacoal” by Chris Killip

Not too long ago Chris Killip returned from Germany where he was on press with Steidl for the making of his new book Seacoal. He came back to Cambridge with just a few copies of the publication – the only in the US at the time – and kindly thought to hand deliver one to me.

I was hoping to write an actual review of the book, but I’ve been enjoying the photographs far too much to sit down and write. So, for now, I just want to share some spreads that might inspire others to look into this publication, or to spend more time with Chris’ incredible work in general (for other books, see In Flagrante, Pirelli Work and Here Comes Everybody).
