Ireland Update

Thursday, July 31, 2008

My one-month residency here on the Western coast of Ireland has come to a close and so I’m off to spend a few days in Dublin before my return to the States. I expect to be without internet for that time and to be busy with some things when I get home, but I’ll be bloggin’ again before September rolls around.

Until then:

Top o’ the Mornin’ to Ye!

Wednesday, July 2, 2008

I should mention that I’m in Ireland for the month of July, completing a residency at the Burren College of Art. I imagine posts will be rather slow here, but I do have internet if anyone needs to get in touch. If you would like to send me something this month, shoot me an e-mail and I’ll give you my temporary mailing address.

I’ll be visiting from Friday until Sunday or Monday, running around with Michael, checking out this Biennial thing and probably causing a bit of trouble with Christian. We’ll see what happens.

New York friends, give me a ring at some point over the weekend if you’d like to get together. I want to see you!

New York, You Will Be Missed

It’s quiet around here, I know. I’ve been away these last few days helping Christian out with an editorial shoot which brought us out to beautiful Aspen, Colorado.

Highlights of the trip: Flying from Denver into Aspen at sunset, four-wheel-driving (“4×5ing”) the rental car up the side of Aspen Mountain under stars, Mr. Lovins (and his folding cup from L.L. Bean) and, well, the mojitos and sushi. It was especially nice to see someplace new.

I’m back in Brooklyn now, bidding farewell. The last few months have passed by so quickly. This evening I’ll be catching a plane flight to Vermont – planning to spend a bit of time there shooting and swimming as the last weeks of summer disappear and it’s time again to return to Boston.

New York, it’s been great. You will be missed.

Film Pile 05/04/07

Tomorrow morning I’ll be leaving for Edinburgh, Scotland—and I’ll be “out of the office” until June 15th. Leave some comments on the blog for when I get back!

I bet you can’t guess what I’ll be doing there.

Oh, and does anyone know of any Scottish photographers and/or interesting projects on Scotland that I should take a look at if I haven’t already?
