Duane Hanson vs. Oliver Herring

Earlier today, Brian Ulrich made a post about “challenging the portrait” and shared some of Duane Hanson’s sculptures made from polyester resin, fiberglass, Bondo and bronze. This instantly reminded me of the life-size photo-collage sculptures by Oliver Herring.
