I saw the work of German photographer Andreas Gefeller recently, images from his series Supervisions. I couldn’t help but pair the apartment building interiors with Gordon Matta-Clark’s house splitting projects – must be an influence here? Apparently Gefeller has created some type of harness system (which he straps himself into) so that he can meticulously study and document the spaces from above. Make sure to look at Gefeller’s other photographs from the series, as some of them are pretty astonishing.

As another potential parallel, I feel the need to also share the work of Aneta Grzeszykowska and Jan Smaga from their series Plan.

All rather interesting ways of looking at and deconstructing how we live. There are plenty more in this vein – anyone have photographers in mind to add to the list?
